Stop YULIN DOG

The Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China faces significant opposition due to the controversial consumption of dog meat.
Danny Li, the first creative from Mainland China to secure a Cannes Lions Gold and ex-ECD of Dentsu Shanghai, led a team in 2019 to collect bones from 230 dogs to craft the “Yulin Dog” skeleton, a statement against the Yulin dog meat festival. This initiative was documented in a film and a book, aiming to raise awareness on animal rights. I was invited, along with another director, to produce the documentary and album for them.
Book
I compiled the book that documents Dannly Li's campaign, which subsequently won the National Gold Award for Graphic Design at the 2020 National College Art and Design Exhibition.
Documentary
I collaborated with a director on the creation of a documentary that followed the making of "Yulin Dog" over a three-month period. This documentary was recognized with the Documentary Unit Award from the 2019 Chinese Collegiate Association for Visual Art.
Exhibition
I observed the planning process of an exhibition and garnered support from Vice China, museums, and pet product companies. The "STOP#YULINDOG" exhibition, which I was involved in, sparked significant discussion in Shanghai, increasing public awareness of animal rights and demonstrating the role of art in social advocacy.
Persistent Advocacy
Following the conclusion of this campaign, his team authored articles from the perspective of the Yulin dogs, persistently advocating for their rights. This initiative underscored their deep and ongoing dedication to animal welfare.
